Jenny Tate, DVM

Dr. Jenny Tate, grew up in western Kansas. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in English and French. Deciding to finally pursue her true passion, working with animals and the people who love them, Dr. Tate graduated from Colorado State University in 2000. She has practiced veterinary medicine in the Kansas City area for over seven years. She and her husband, Andy, stay busy chasing their son, Nate, and daughter, Elizabeth. They also have two dogs, Max and Flag, to add to the household chaos. Dr. Tate has a particular interest in internal medicine and has a special love for her geriatric patients and their unique needs. When not working or mothering, Dr. Tate enjoys running and reading.

Melissa

Melissa is the Officer Manager at Mission Road, and still works as technician intermittently. She joined us in February 2005 with 10 years of experience in the veterinary field and a special interest in dentistry. She grew up in Prairie Village, and graduated from the UMKC conservatory of Music in 2002. Melissa continues her singing at Unity Temple on the Plaza. Married to Adam in 2004, they welcomed their first daughter, Hannah, in March 2006 and her little sister Sydney in August 2009. At home in Overland Park, they share their home with their golden retriever mix, Sophie.

Danielle

Danielle joined the staff of Mission Road in June 2009 with just over one year of experience. She has a particular interest in ear care and animal rescue. She shares her home with Ducky the chihuahua, Tank the pit bull, and her three cats Jude, Tuna, and Batman. She likes to spend her free time cuddling with her kitties and taking the dogs to the dog park

Sharron

Sharron has been with Mission Road Animal Clinic since its move from Ranchmart, where she started in April of 1974. She now works as the Saturday receptionist. She and her husband Mike have eight children and sixteen grandchildren, and have shared their home with the neighborhood squirrel babies, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, goldfish, and a parakeet. They now have four cats, Xena-Warrior Princess, Helen, sisters Camille and Chloe, and a Boxer mix puppy, Grady. A 1995 graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism, KU, Sharron worked a short time as a freelance writer for Veterinary Economics Magazine. Sharron loves people and pets of all kinds.

Andrea

Andrea grew up on a farm and began working at Petsmart at age 19. She then began grooming under a professional show dog groomer. Andrea has been grooming at Mission Road since October 2005 and loves all animals. She can do breed specific grooms or customize a cut just for your pet. Having recently stepped up to the role of technician, Andrea enjoys helping Dr. Tate on Wednesdays.
